I am currently trying to get a J1 waiver so as i do not need to return
to the UK for 2 years once my placement is finnished. I have also been
recieving US government funding for the time ive been in the US.

How did you go about applying for your waiver?
Did you use a lawyer?
How much did the process cost?

How long before the end of your J1 visa did you start the process??

I would truly appreciate any help you are able to offer!

Thank you,
Jocy

Exchange visitors who are subject to, but do not wish to comply with,
the two-year home country residence requirement, may apply for a waiver
of that requirement under any one of the five applicable grounds
provided by the United States immigration law.

1. "No Objection" statement from the home government
2. Request by an interested (U.S.) Government agency, or IGA
3. Persecution
4. Exceptional hardship to a United States citizen (or permanent
resident) spouse or child of an exchange visitor
5. Request by a designated State Department of Health or its equivalent
